Rebuilding My First Rebel 250 Carb - Rebuild Kit Help Needed

Hello everyone,
We recently bought a 2006 Rebel 250 for my girlfriend to learn to ride, and on the ride home, I discovered it needed the carb cleaned.
I took it apart today, and it's worse than I thought. The gasket between the carb and the manifold is old and I assume no longer seals, so some idiot added a paper gasket. The air fuel mixture screw is completely missing. The edges of the small diaphragm (accelerator?) are starting to crack, so I think I should replace it since I'm in there.
Does anyone have a link to a good rebuild kit that has all of the parts I need? Or a basic rebuild kit plus the additional parts? Again, it's a 2006 Rebel 250.

Thanks in advance for the help,
Jeremy

Welcome to the forum.

Ebay has a number of kits, just look for one with the parts you need. Unless a PO has messed them up, all the jets need is cleaning, which is best done in an ultrasonic cleaner. If you are referring to the accelerator pump dust boot, you might be able to fix it with some rubber glue, like they use to repair neoprene wet suits. Think the (light green?) paper gasket is OEM.

Keepin' all the left over parts. Gonna use 'em to build another bike!

Well, I've had no luck trying to find the parts, and to make things worse, I noticed cracks in the large diaphragm when I looked at it just now.
I took some pictures, and I'm hoping you guys can help me locate the replacement parts. Or would I be better off just trying to buy a new carb at this point?

if this is the first true rebuild of an 06 carb, yes replace ALL the rubber bits. the carb to manifold should have both an o-ring and a thick paper gasket, get new ones of them as well.

bowl drain screw o-ring

vacuum piston with diaphram
idle mix screw o-ring (although I believe you said it's missing, you need the screw, spring, flat washer, and oring)

Thanks for the list, it helped make sure I didn't miss anything.
I went to two different shops today to get some help finding the parts, and it looks like I'm in for around $300. I found the diaphragms a little cheaper than they had, so I'll order those online. Still $250 all in. I'm still going to get the rebuild kit and the paper gasket from them though, since it's similarly priced and I'd like to thank them for the help. Might tip the guy who helped me out too, as long as it's not one of those weird places where employees can't take tips.

You can get the bowl gasket and O-rings in a kit from ebay. Probably cheaper than elsewhere.

The diaphragms are definitely cheaper from eBay, but the paper gasket is actually cheaper from the shop (same price but no shipping charge) and the gasket set is $1 more from them than it is on eBay.
