Exactly my thinking. The difference in the diaphragms is too much, but for the other parts I'm definitely going local.

Me too. Except my most local dealership sucks when it comes to customer relations. I've ordered parts from them several times, and they always say they will call when they come in. But they never do. I have to call them. I made it easy for them the last time and got the part number from cheapcycleparts.com. Parts guy said he would have to confirm it was the correct number and would call me back shortly as he had a customer with him. I assured him that was the right number and asked him to order it. Said he'd have to check it first. Four hours later, no call back. I called and the guy told me it wasn't the right part number for my Rebel. Idiot. Told him I was going to order that part number from another dealer about 20 miles farther away and if it didn't fit I would let him know (it did). I sent the dealership an email outlining my frustration and why and telling them I was done with them.

Sorry, rant/hijack over.

Keepin' all the left over parts. Gonna use 'em to build another bike!

Garage
be careful when buying carb parts on ebay, some sellers it can be exactly what you need, and some slap tons of tags/labels on generic parts or Chinese only model parts that may or may not fit.

I skipped the dealers and local parts shop, they order from either babbitsonline or cheapcycleparts (or similar) themselves. One even ordered parts from another dealer 40 miles away that then ordered from an online parts website.

True. K&L and Keyster offer good kits on ebay.
