Exhaust Stud Helicoil has excessive play?

Took my engine to a machine shop to have a broken exhaust stud removed. They drilled it out and helicoiled it, and I think they messed it up. I have used helicoils in the past and never had play like this.

Is it excessive? I worry that when running, vibrations are going to move it around a ton and I'm going to snap yet another stud.

BS job imho..
i'd take back and insist on Time-Sert (preferred) or E-Z LOK (easier installation) replacement...
Both are more reliable than an helicoil.

Gotta give the jobber a chance to make it right..
Tell them you can't believe they would allow such poor work out the door..
go armed with a couple of print outs of Time-Sert and E-Z LOK literature..

We used time serts at a foreign car shop I worked for. perfect for exhaust stud thread repair as it has a counter sunk shoulder that helps lock it in place..
