Cranks no start after dropping bike

The neighbors teen age son decided he wanted to sit on my 86 Rebel 250 without asking and dropped the bike on its left side. They told me and the bike would start right after the fall. The next morning the bike wouldn't start. Could the oil have leaked into the electronics during the fall causing the no start?

Also drain the carb float bowl (with the petcock off) close the drain screw, and turn the petcock back on. The float may have become momentarily stuck. Is there any visible damage to anything? While there is no electronics for oil to get into, some could have run out the crankcase vent and into the air filter box. I can't remember the setup on the first gen Rebel. Does it have a sealed battery? On the old non sealed batteries, acid can run out if the bike falls over. Does the petcock and fuel line look ok? Does it turn over with the starter? If so, check for a spark. If it has a spark, then the problem is almost certainly fuel related.
