Flite, are you saying that the intact 2nd gen bowl gasket is not a perfect fit for the 1st gen bowl? Because of how the o-ring is connected, that bridge won't fit on the 1st gen bowl so you cut it off and then use the two parts separately once the bridge is removed?
that's good info because those float bowl rubber parts are the main things to replace in a routine cleaning that doesn't involve all the jets so 1st gen owners will either replace jets unnecessarily or start stockpiling jets simply because they are buying the right float bowl gasket. Or they can buy that 2nd gen kit and replace only the important rubber parts.
