1986 Honda rebel cmx , overheating/boggin down and stalling

Hey there , I’m new to the forum and have some questions about my 1986 Honda rebel 250. So I picked up the bike around springtime this year and haven’t hade any major problems until 4 days ago. I cut out the pipe that connects the two pipes underneath the bike and welded up the hole , and now just going down the street makes it heat up ridiculously fast then it starts to stall with the slightest bit of throttle and won’t start . What’s your thoughts ? Please get back to me if you know anything . I can provide pictures of it if that helps . HONDA CHRIS.

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you need to put that connecting pipe back in.

Welcome. What 01-7700 said on the exhaust.

Keepin' all the left over parts. Gonna use 'em to build another bike!
