Are German WW2 Military Style Motorcycle Helmets Effective in A crash

I love the look of this WW2 era German Military style Helmet. But even if DOT approved. Is it really effective in a motorcycle crash or accident.

Your thoughts and Opinions,I would love to know

Welcome to the forum. The problem with this type helmet is there is virtually no protection for exposed parts of the skull. So the face, jaw, and lower temple are going to have severe injuries if they are hit. Here's an article showing the percentage of contact points in a crash for various helmet types (full, 3/4, 1/2).

Keepin' all the left over parts. Gonna use 'em to build another bike!
