It is nice to have people out there who appreciate the Rebel. Years ago on my 97 in Tucson I would stop at a coffee shop that was a hang out for riders. Not once in 3 years did any of the Harley riders say a word about my ride nor speak to me. Didn't matter I have been riding 60 years. They all looked like clones with their Harley this and that clothes, etc.

There was woman who had a pink Rebel and we used to chat. She did all her own work.

450

Here is a '86 450 I finished about 2 months ago, I put Mukini carburetors from Old School on it. For some reason the stock carburetors I rebuilt would not work right on this bike. The Mukini's work great.
I went through the motor and rebuilt the starter clutch, new rings, valves lapped and new gaskets. Took it down to the frame and rebuilt all the switches and brakes and new chain. I cleaned up all the parts before reassembly.
I am going to wait until spring to sell it and am going to be asking $3000.00 to start and will probably take $2600.00 for it.

Beautiful work. $2600 seems awfully low for all the work and a 450 to boot. Any full pics, haven't checked your garage?

I am retired and I do it for a hobby. If I figure my time I make about .05 cents an hour. But I enjoy it and it keeps me busy.

The first time putting a pic in my post I goofed and I double posted and have been trying to find an admin who can remove the top one (without the like) to no avail :-/

Any suggestions out there?
