80s/90s small cruiser for wife

Can anyone suggest something similar to an 80s Rebel 250. Ideally we would like a Rebel but they are hard to find around here, so if anyone could suggest a smallish cruiser type bike that is pretty reliable and easy to ride from the 80s or 90s?

She finds the forward positions of the pegs of a cruiser better for her aching body and the low seat is perfect.

Thougth about the Virago 250, but again none in this area for sale.

Maybe you could tell us what is available in your area and we could go from there.

Hi

That's the thing, I was looking for bikes similar to Rebel 250s in both style and size, then I have something to search for.

Thanks.

The old paradox... have you thought about getting her a scooter?

You're part of the European market, you should find the CA125 "reduced effect" Rebel there. IIRC the full size 250 wasn't exported to Europe with the same frequencies. Also look up some of the RE 400cc bikes like the Steed, Slasher, Vulcan, etc that are smaller bore pistons w/sleeves inserted through their full sized counterpart 600/750/800cc bikes.

That's not going to work, we want to ride together. She can ride a cruiser type bike. The laid back style works well with her rheumatism, but my rebel 450 is a bit too heavy for her but she likes the fact she can get two feet on ground. No way she'll drive a hair dryer!

We missed out on a 250 Eliminator last night for a sweet price.

Ps. Thanks Shadow Shack, will look those ideas up too.

......and as it happens, we may have found a Rebel 250 about 35 minutes from us. Yes as always, it's been bobbed out somewhat. Is it the fashion to bob-job these bikes? Was hoping to find a non modified Reb, but it's a nice looking bike none the less so we'll take a look later.

At least we would be true partners, both Rebel riders!

Well the Rebel 250 is sold

Found a Kawasaki EN500, which I believe is called a Vulcan in the States? The guy wants 750 euros, about 800 usd (ish). I have no idea about these bikes other than they used the Ninja 500 engine of the day. Took it for a spin, heck of a comfy seat, hated the high handlebars!

But,she likes it and that is what matters. Mechanically are these ok bikes? I think it's about a 91 year.
