Do you need a complete carb or just clean/refurbish the one you have? I've got several partial first gen carbs. Would need to see if I have enough for a complete carb. Have you tried Jacks Rebel Warehouse? His used parts aren't listed in the catalog. http://parts.rebelcatalog.com/

Keepin' all the left over parts. Gonna use 'em to build another bike!

If you have no rebuildable core might I suggest installing 2nd generation 96-2016 carb and intake manifold..

The two units together are bolt on replacements for the earlier 85-87 intake and carb.. parts will be available for some time to come

96 VS800 Intruder (sold 2018 ), 87 CMX250C Rebel,
79 CB400 Hawk (sold 93), 75 CB350 (sold 83), 71 CB350 (stolen 74)

Thanks for the tip, re: 2nd generation 96-2016 carb and intake manifold. I'll talk to my shop and see what they say.

1985 had the largest main jet of all versions.. idle/slow jet #35 Main jet #135
86-87 idle #35 Main #128

second generation upped the idle/slow jet size to #38 Reduced the Main jet #108

ePay for used intake and carb, grab a rebuild kit that includes hard parts ie. larger jets you can install.
Several can be found for second gen bikes for as little as $13 including shipping..

96 VS800 Intruder (sold 2018 ), 87 CMX250C Rebel,
79 CB400 Hawk (sold 93), 75 CB350 (sold 83), 71 CB350 (stolen 74)
