I would surmise that is because most all $30K HDs all look the same...black, chrome, identical options, owner wearing a store full of HD branded clothing and a fat, flabby, skanky wannabe biker chick on the back....?

There's WAY TOO MUCH symbolism and voodoo in the choreography of the biker wave. I just raise my hand off the left grip and show my palm as a friendly greeting or recognition. Nothing more..
