Tank and fenders from 85 on a 96

Will the tank and fenders off of an 85 rebel fit on my 96 rebel?

They should if nothing has been modified.

Keepin' all the left over parts. Gonna use 'em to build another bike!

Rear wheels are the same, front wheels have the brake rotor mounted on opposite sides, so the front forks are different. You can use first generation front wheels on a second generation bike if you also swap out the forks.

The attachment points for the side covers are different between generations and would require mods to make them fit.

I believe the shifter is attached to the frame differently between generations too.

This will probably address some of your questions: https://www.hondarebelforum.com/f78/...els-10669.html
