Can you identify this?

Tonight, I got less than a mile in with my 2007 Rebel 250 when I heard some clinking and clunking and saw a chrome cylinder roll onto the road. I went back to pick it up and below are the pictures. What the heck is this? I can't ride until I repair this. Can you help?

It's a handlebar end weight.

You can make short rides without it as it just serves to dampen vibration in the handlebars. I wouldn't go cross country without it as you could wind up with tingly hands and possible permanent damage. You'll need the bolt that holds it in, number 17 in this diagram. https://www.cheapcycleparts.com/oemp...0323/handlebar

Put some blue thread locker on the bolt threads to keep it from happening again.

Keepin' all the left over parts. Gonna use 'em to build another bike!

Putting your bike year and model in your signature helps others help you!
