When purchasing numerous parts, it's often cheaper to order from places like cheapcycleparts.com. But for just one or two, the shipping costs can make purchasing from the dealer a better deal. Ebay often has decent prices with free shipping.
If I may ask, does cheap cycle parts have a quicker turn around? express shipping option?
I ordered from a local mom-and-pops type place, 2+ weeks to get the parts in (one was wrong and had to re-order), and amidst the packaging I found out they ordered from a dealership 2 cities away.
I next ordered from that dealership and 10 days to get the part and get around to answering me that it was in (2 days between their receiving it and putting it in the computer)
I've ordered from babbittsonline.com and it varies 5-7 days between putting in the order and it showing up on my doorstep. They don't have a rush shipment option, 2-ish days to pick & pack the order and drop it in USPS.
Is cheap cycle parts any faster?
I've never ordered from cheapcycleparts so I can't help you. I'd look for those bolts on ebay. They typically offer quick shipping. You don't have a local hardware store that carries metric bolts?
If you're looking at something on eBay and it says estimated delivery between x and y - it will always be y. I frequently order stuff from China and it takes 30 days to be delivered.
I usually get them closer to X. I ordered an LED bulb from China on May 21. Expected delivery was June 13-July18. It came in today's mail.
