2006 Honda Rebel Throtle

I just bought a 2006 250 and I noticed that when I start to throtle is has what seems to be a dead zone where no power is going to the engine. Not sure what to do really. New to this biking stuff. Thanks

Welcome to the forum. There are two throttle cables, one to open and the other to close it. It may be that the open cable has some slack, in which case you can adjust it where the cables attach to the carb.

Keepin' all the left over parts. Gonna use 'em to build another bike!

Octagon - I think this is normal. This engine has very close to no power.

Just wait a really long time. It will eventually speed up.

OK, Ok, ok, I jest. I'd say what flitecontrol says is correct. A cable is disconnected.

Flite - Maybe you should start a forum within these forums, "Just ask flitecontrol!"

The only changes so far.

Don't ask flitecontrol any electrical questions since he knows diddley squat on the subject. Everyone here helps make this forum what it is; something exceptional IMO.

One reason I'm posting so much is because I'm retired, bored silly, and trying to stay close to the house during this pandemic.

How far are you from Villa Rica? I have a daughter there, but not sure when I'll see her again.
