Welcome to the forum. The best way to learn to ride is by taking a basic rider course, such as those provided by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation.

Keepin' all the left over parts. Gonna use 'em to build another bike!

Welcome. DEFINITELY take the MSF basic riders course. It will be the best money you ever spent if you intend to ride a motorcycle in traffic. Next, get a decent full face helmet. It does not have to be expensive. Any DOT approved helmet is fine as long as it fits properly.

Welcome....I was born and raised in Toledo, OH..now live in the south. +1 on full face helmet. +1 on MSF course for beginners...It will get you a break on the cost of insurance.

Over 40% of helmet point-of-impact is on the chin bar if it has one, or on the jawbone if it doesn't....

The Lake Hope rally is an annual ride for all riders and any make of bike. It's located near McArthur, Ohio. There's a thread on it here, and if you'd like to attend, you're certainly welcome. https://www.hondarebelforum.com/f34/...-a-121083.html
