Cool New From Alberta

Hi, I'm new & just need more info before I buy sprockets (will post another thread)

I have a 2004 Honda Rebel 250 - CMX250C

Its near stock, but mods done so far:
1 - Custom forward controls - $20 - cause I had all other stuff I used.
2 - Cut out the first baffle so it sounds better - $80 (bi-metal whole saw)
3 - Raised handle bars 2"s - $55
4 - Painted my helmet from Matt black - $45 for paint
5 - Touch up paint (custom mix) - $22

Welcome to the forum, and enjoy your ride.

You may want to do a plug chop to be sure you haven't gotten your mixture too lean after removing the back pressure provided by the baffles. It may need rejetting.

Be sure you really want to change the sprockets before you do. . Maybe read up on it here.
There are advantages but also disadvantages to any changes you may make.
The stock set-up is probably best for most people.

everyone who went to a different sprocket set than the stock ratio noticed a loss of top-end-speed
