I have two motorcycles, a 2006 Rebel, and a 99 Harley low rider. And on behalf of the Harley riders that aren't asses, I apologize. To me, two wheels is two wheels, and I don't care what you're riding I look down on no one. I've had many brands of bikes, and I loved them all.
My Harley is great for those long road trips, but for running around town, nothing beats my Rebel. I always tell people I get more smiles per gallon with a Rebel. Heck, I'm smiling just thinking about my Rebel... addictive thing that it is.
Hang in there, you've got a great bike.

I've never gotten any derogatory comments about my microbagger, and usually the first answer I give is "It's Paid For" gets a jovial laugh and thumbs up!

I always have to laugh when I pull the rebel out, guys on harleys going head on will give me "the wave" yet if I turn around and catch them in some way theyll give me the cold shoulder. Then recently I pulled the trail 90 and vespa grande outta storage and those both get waves from EVERYONE EXCEPT harleys. I always thought that was funny

I wouldn't read too much into this, I don't typically wave at people in my lane of traffic either. Similar to walking on a sidewalk, people don't typically offer constant greetings to those they are moving with, only when met head on. Saying hello to the back of someone's head isn't typical behavior.

On a motorcycle this is also logistical; I know you're back there but can barely see you in the tiny mirror and in the momentary glance in which I am using the mirror. Who would know when it is a good time to wave, if it may be misconstrued as some sort of signal, and I would be highly unlikely to see a return wave unless I'm watching the mirror and not looking ahead, which would be very dangerous. And if you pass and/or are ahead, you aren't going to see my wave for the same reasons.

I catch hate because when I ride the Rebel, the site of me on the Rebel looks like a big fat grizzly bear riding a mini-bike. Like at the circus. I'm built just like Shrek, but I smell twice as bad.

Rebel doesnt get hate and if it does I'm changing that. Lost my leg last year along with my harley now I'm back on my rebel with was my first bike. I'm the only one around that rides 2 wheels with one leg as far as I know.

That's awesome!

I knew a guy (I haven't heard from him in ages) that lost the use of both lower legs, he had something like 25% and 15% use on each. He soldiered on and continued riding. I always hold a deep respect for the handi-capable out there.

Dismantling, sawzalling, and rattle canning does not make a bobber.
Those are STEPS toward customizing, not customizing unto itself.

This guy looks proportional to the Grom size...then again maybe it's just the "angle" of the shot.
