Should i modify exhaust? (See description)

I have a 2004 Rebel 250 I already took out the infamous end baffles. Still dont like the sound. I know i cant get the “harley” tone i want but im hoping something close enough without spending so much money on a Jardine or MAC exhaust. The video below sounds good, but im wondering how the cruising speed sound would be....which is why im sceptic about doing it, any ideas please?

Garage
some say it sounds like an angry lawnmower

others say it's more like a pissed off sewing machine

i agree with both camps

In my humble opinion, you would be better off staying with a stock exhaust, save your money, and buy a larger V twin bike when you have the cash to do so.
I wish you well.

Don't mod it any further.

They sound decent at idle, but in higher speeds they sound like a lawnmower. With the first set of baffles removed the bike will still sound stock at highway speeds.

If you want Harley sound, buy a Harley.

From the hand controls, back to the rear brake...it sounds good straight piped. It doesn't sound nor ever will like a harley. But it is what it is, and I like it. Runs good too. A modified carb gave it a different sound also.
The Honda and Toyota cars running around these days that have performance and exhaust systems dont sound like Hemi Cudas either, but that's not what they were trying for, and that also is what it is...they like it. And its definitely louder, and suits them. So do what you want, when you want. Have a good one.

I'll be putting some fishtails on later tonight, then titanium wrap, silicone coated. I'll send you a pic.
