Thank you Buickguy, that is my plan. I was just wandering how long before I get pulled over for the amber on the rear -- been close to a year now, I have been followed a few times and even had blue lights flashed at me for braking the speed limit, just a little.

I recently installed the stock front turn signals back on the Rebel. I was looking on ebay for clear lenses and came across a pair of K&S replacement heads that were 3 wire for powering running lights. Seems they were for a VT700 or something but were also direct replacement signal heads for the Rebel other than the third wire for running lights. I've tried like crazy to find them again but can't remember what I typed in the search box.

I made a set of 450 front turn signal stays for Jacks Rebel Warehouse, Jack supplied every thing for the build and his 3 wire front turn signal heads were very nice, you may want to give him a call.

cut the running lights for signal use here's a animated gif of mine working
Thank you for clarifying how the lights work, and the animated gif is awesome. I will be doing the signal light work in the near future! Very affordable lights from Dennis Kirk too.
