Joined Your Ranks - - Bought One!

Today I joined the ranks of Rebel owners.

Picked up a 2016 w/ <500 miles on the odometer. It was a leftover sold new last summer. It still has several weeks of OEM Honda warranty on it!

No options, no add-ons. Just a bare black Rebel.

Sorry, haven't uploaded photos yet but will soon.

And I haven't titled/registered it yet, so haven't gone for my first ride as owner yet. Will post impressions when I do, but recall I am a complete novice so my impressions really aren't worth much.

Thanks for all the help with questions and info. I'll be needing to change the oil very soon...

Happy Day, VAREB! I'm sure you will be pleased with your find. The Rebels are a fun and dependable ride if you are disciplined about doing the maintenance and treat them with respect. Which I'm sure you will. Your impressions are worth much regardless of ride time, etc., so dont hesitate to communicate. Members here are more than happy to help you in any way to make your experiences safe and rewarding. I'm not sure if you said you had tools in your earlier posts, but when you can afford them it is a wise investment. Many threads here on the forum cover that topic if you search. Doing most of the mechanical work yourself not only saves $$, it also helps you understand and appreciate the bike better. While you are getting legal, sit on the bike and run through all the controls until you can manage the hand and feet manuvers with eyes closed. And run through pre-ride check list until it becomes so familiar that you aren't tempted to cut corners before heading out. Making the time to check the tire pressure, the chain slack, lights, etc., is a preventative strategy that will always serve you well. Congratulations and happy trails!
