Question Help! Carburator..no fuel intake

I have a 2006 Honda Rebel 250

I uninstalled the carburetor, replaced a few parts, and reinstalled it.

now the bike is rolling over when I try to start it, but it wont start. I put starter fluid in it and the bike starts for a moment, but it seems that no gas is flowing into the carburetor. I checked the fuel line and the gas is flowing through the tube. I reattached the tube and tried started the bike and there is no gas flow into the carburetor still.

Now I have once again uninstalled the carburetor. I looked into the manual and see no adjustments for the valves.

What might be the problem or how could I fix it.

did you hook the fuel line up to the correct inlet on the carb?

I am pretty sure I attached them in the correct place. (the fuel was turned on when I was trying to start it) I posted a picture also of where they were.

if you are getting fuel out of hose from tank and none out of carburetor drain when you open the drain screw either the carb inlet is plugged or the float needle valve is stuck closed..

your fuel line is connected correctly though it is recommended you place an inline filter in that hose..

Possible simple fix if you have an air tank.
Turn off petcock.
Unhook the fuel line from the tank.
Use the air nozzle to pressurize the fuel line to the carb so that the float needle valve pops off of the seat. This should allow the fuel to enter the chamber.

Hook up the fuel line and open the petcock and see if this did the trick.

Others correct me if I am wrong..

Once this proves out, then install a gravity fed fuel filter into the line.

I'd be afraid of breaking the little plastic parts of the float with compressed air if it is stuck in the "up" position.
