the Main jet was #135 in 1985 and went to #128 after thus 86 and 87.. I have a #128 in mine.. so the main jet got smaller while the slow jet stayed the same for all years it appears..
1996 main jet was #110 continuing through 2016
venturi size was increased 0.8 mm between 1st and 2nd generations
Very interesting. I know I read somewhere that these bikes run lean from the factory, seems like that might be true, the leaned them out for '86 and '87 and then leaned them out even more for the second generation. I'm wondering whether the '86 and '87's would run better with the bigger jets.
