Absolutely heal up my friend, a good excuse for blitzing shows on Netflix, LOL
A few easy to find products once you are ready, extra large pedal cover that bolts onto the brake pedal, or a thumb lever for the rear brake, or just ride extra careful and back off more and don't use the rear brake.

The rear brake is why i fought so hard to keep the amputation below the knee.
This way i can retain some use of the right foot for rear brake.
Still going to have to relearn riding and and premature braking. Youve experienced premature braking before, right?
I hear its a problem for older riders.
Hahahahahaaaa.....

If its any comfort to you, the rear brake is really not that essential for normal riding. You can get along without using it at all most of the time. It does come in handy for controlling your speed doing parking lot maneuvers and also when going downhill on loose surfaces, but for riding on pavement I think you could do fine without it, particularly if you work on your front brake skills to compensate.
