A 250 rack or one for a VN750? Think I may have an extra for a Vulcan and one for a 450 Rebel, but nothing for a 250. I use my rebel as somewhat of a mule. Look in my picture albums for the large rear rack I made. I've hauled quite a bit of stuff on in, including a 55 pound sack of dog food.

I tried getting on VN750.com the other day and found I too was locked out. I thought it might have something to do with the exchange I had with one of several idiots they made moderators. Diana is sorely missed over there.

I'll check the carbs for gunk and take your advice on the filter, you don't have luggage rack laying around do you? I haven't been on the 750 forum for quite a while either for about the same reason you gave for this one. I must be locked out because my username and password aren't valid there anymore

Hey it's Denny from the vn750 board. Just joined here and have been looking around and seeing familiar names. Just bought an 07 250 Rebel and wanted to see if there were any tips I needed to know. Good to see your name it's been a while.

So sorry not to get back to you sooner, suzie123. I must have missed the notification about your message here. Sending me a PM is best as I rarely check profile comments.

Anyway, here is a link to my response to your question. http://www.hondarebelforum.com/f57/c...tml#post804825

I use bolts, flat and lock washers, and nuts with blue threadlocker. Lock nuts will do fine too. Putting a flat washer under the bolt head helps keep the thin license metal from cracking. The top two bolts go through the license, backer plate, and license bracket on the bike. The two bottom bolts attach the license to the backer plate and keep it from vibrating and cracking.

    Morning, flitecontrol.
What's the best way to attach your backer plate to the license plate and to the Rebel? Have read several versions, ie, blue threadlocker b/w them, washers, etc.
