Electrical access, fuses and spare fuses (250)

The fuse panel on the Rebel 250 is located just behind the battery and slightly above the tool compartment. The Rebel 250 uses three fuses. A 15 amp main takes care of the running gear. The headlight circuit is protected by a 7 amp fuse The tail/parking light circuit has its own 7 amp fuse as well.
The fuse block provides space for two spare fuses.

These picture are of a first generation Rebel (85-87) 250 but the second generation (96-09) should be similar with the major difference being the side cover.

Here we have the electrical access panel. it is held on by a single screw and a forward tab.

Removing the access panel reveals the fuse block, starter solenoid, and battery cables.

Open the fuse pane cover carefully. It is held on by three tabs. One on top, two on the bottom. I have found the easiest way to remove the cover is by lightly prying one of the bottom tabs with a flat blade screwdriver or pocket knife. Once removed, you see the fuses. Note the spare fuses are just held in place. They are not designed to provide additional circuitry

I have found the bit of extra space provided by the access cover has just enough room for a bit of wire and additional spare fuses.

Here is one of the two spares in the bubble pack.
