Rebel Engine or Not?

Hi there,

I'm new to this forum. Honda Rebel owner from the UK and I have my first questions.

Can anyone tell me if the engine in my bike is original please. I ask this because I've been looking at other rebels and haven't seen an engine that looks the same with the chrome panels over the spark plugs.

The bike is a 2002.

Any help would be great.

Thanks
Matt

I like the chrome, but would not want the twin carbs. I like things simple.

So are the spark plug covers the only chrome? It appears the center/valve cover is aluminum in that pic.

This is how the Intruders and VTXes were as well (although the VTX covers were plastic).
