Hey guys its been quite a while since i posted on here! As y'all may remember i don't have a bike but have wanted a rebel for way to long. recently i have had some major money problems and gas for a car is just starting to kill me and prices are on the rise. recently i found a bike that needs some major tlc. what do y'all think of it? i want to just get it running and safe before i go get my license and worry about insurance. the bike will be used mainly to commute about two miles per day. i wanted to go for the old school rusted out look but have it reliable. y'all think this is worth saving?

It's worth saving but plan on putting a lot of work in it and probably another $400+ to get it in proper running condition. I would consider it for myself if it was a little closer to me.

i just need something i can get running cheap! now that i have a new job. i want this bike to be bare minimum so will probably bob it out if i save up but anyone know of anything anywhere close to LA that i could get for under a grand?

i have actually looked at this bike for quite some time. I'm in ruston. and very tempted to call this guy to see what he will take. i don't have cash to just walk up and buy but i could only imagine after a while if he'd hold it or if i ever knew of someone who would invest in me by getting it and letting me pay them off. if i were to get it, bags would have to go, would definitely have to save up for some shorter bars, and try to get that ding out after a while.

I just have to know. What is collectible about a very faded Wineberry '87 with black second gen sidecovers and the wrong year saddle on it?
('87 is supposed to have a smooth seat, only year without the button tufting)
