Gas gauge

Is there a gas gauge u can buy for the rebel so that u will know when u need gas.

Not really.
Its just the old style main/reserve system. When you hit reserve, you need gas.

you could add a sight gauge to it. but the trip odometer has never let me down.

Yep, odometer IS the fuel guage. You hit 100 miles and then filler er up. I don't even hit reserve following this method.

The odometer won't let you down. You just have to remember to reset it every fill up. I get around 70mpg pretty consistently usually a little more so I start looking for a station at 140 miles and I should still have around a half a gallon of gas to get me there.

I am bad for remembering to reset it sometimes but after a couple of times going to get gas and you pop off the cap and it's still almost full you eventually learn. But with 4 bikes to keep track of it makes it hard sometimes.
