Yes that counts, but its about 3 hours away I am more south only 40 minutes to the USA, but thanks for your reply. I am very new to riding, picked up my Rebel last November it a 2002 Black. I have been riding in my neighbourhood for quite a while, but am now out in traffic as of last week. I love the Rebel so easy to learn and handle. I am sure I will put on many miles this summer.

Glad it counted! Of course, from where I'm at now, your about 9-10 hours away!
Glad your enjoying your first bike, you'll allways remember it and the times you had on it.
Ride the wheels off of it!

Thanks Henry, I went for my first group ride last night. If I thought I was hooked before well now I am really hooked on riding. What a great feeling. My main objective was to get out of town to really have a ride without traffic lights and a lot of traffic. It was amazing and the group I was with are at all levels of riding. I was very comfortable with them. Also the leader was great. We did about 40 miles which was a long ride for me, but we stopped and had a coffee. I have to say this was the first time I really felt like I was riding. No stopping me now.

Wow you have it made I have a friend here in town, He is a big BMW rider, said the Blue Ridge Parkway is one of the best rides he has been on. Hey great Idea to take a camera, Had a problem when I cleaned my bike this morning after my big ride last night I found that I had lost a togle bolt that holds my windshield on, darn - took a quick trip to the Honda shop down town and the guy found anotherone for me in the back gave it to me for nothing, I was impressed. He told me to try lock tite on it, but I also heard that nail polish will hold it on just as well. What do you think.

theres two kinds of locktite. dont get the permanent, or you'll never get it off again! doesnt cost all that, get the locktite and just a drop on the threads is enough...

Thanks, but I did try the Nail polish and it seems to be holding, but we will see. I will keep a close eye on it. Our weather was great yesterday infact it was hot in the afternoon, now today is cold, but I am still going riding. Have a good day. keep the shiney side up.
