Hi Oldem, Just arrived home from Campbellville. I went riding with my brother, did the halton hills area nice ride lots of twisties. My bike performed so well. My brother rides a Harley Road King and I was able to keep up nicely, also I was able to corner a lot smoother than he did on his big bike. We had a blast, and thanks for the website I will certainly use it. Your ride to port elgin sounds great..there is nothing like being on a bike. I used to go to Port Elgin a lot, I had a friend with a cottage there. Did you stop in Tiviotdale for a break that is about the 1/2 way point. Wow you got fantastic milage, I have not pushed mine to almost empty yet, but I am sure to have many more miles ahead of me. Lets hope the weather stays like this for the rest of the summer.

Hello EUS, Halton Hills is great for riding because... well the hills! I did some riding around the Caledon area on the weekend. I rode 22nd Sideroad from Hwy 27 to Airport Rd. Nice! Also rode north on Hwy 27 to Bond Head and turned onto I think it was called Baseline Road? Nice views! There are a lot of hills and some make you feel like you're on top of the world and you're looking down on everything.
Harleys are great to ride with if they stay behind you! LOL The big bikes are loud and slow in the corners but faster on the straight stretches which makes them hard to pass. Been there done that. I didn't stop in Tiviotdale I went north on Hwy 10 to Flesherton and rode through Beaver Valley then worked my way west. Beaver Valley was a blast, not another soul on the road and lined with tall trees. It felt like I was riding in the Alps not conjested Ontario. The only pain on the trip was in my knees after sitting in the upright position that the Rebel puts you in. I need to get some highway pegs if I plan to do anymore long distance riding.
Maybe we can go for a ride sometime soon.

Yea that sounds great. It would be a blast to go for a ride with another rebel. It seems I am always the tiny bike in the group. Which by the way does not bother me in the least. I sometimes think I would like to move up to a bigger bike, but If I did I would never get rid of the Reb. I am going to attemp to do a oil change this week. Should be fun. My husband passed his M2 yesterday on my Rebel... He has a Triumph Speedmaster we ride a lot together. Should you want to get together for a ride just send me a PM and we can arrange a ride.

Well, I am still waiting for summer, where is it. Did it migrate to another country. Why, they are having warmer weather in the Artic, Whitehorse was 27 Celcius. The season is short enough I guess I should have put this on the Wine & cheese, Last Sunday I still had to ware my Leather Jacket. Which sucks because I just got a nice mesh Jacket with the armor that is so light for summer riding. So I am just kinda bummed thats all.

The weatherman said that this has been the coldest July in twenty years. Average temp. 24C. What shocked me was he also said we've had below average rainfall 14.5mm. What? I thought we had that in one day, between the rain and hail!
What happened to global warming? I want my money back!

Welcome to the forum palmpalm any pictures of your bike you could put up. I have a 2002 Black, how many kilometers or miles have you put on this season. If you know where Campbellville is lots of riders meet there for coffee Saturday and Sunday morning perhaps I will see you there some time.
