I like the idea of camping but may not have my bike set up in time for that.

The Flamingo looks good also.

To just get out and ride is what matters to me!

I can do Cycle - Moore if that is the want. I voted the motel just in case the camping was going to cause those without trailer tents etc not to come. But hey I like cheap! I did contact them just to see what we need to do if anything. Hey if anyone in States close to us want to join us the more there are the better this could be. Can't you just see this convoy of Rebels, we may be little but we are mighty!

I'm a camper, if you don't wake up grumpy, there's something wrong!

I am going to be leaving for the Dragon tonight so don't worry, (I am not pulling out of the planning) I am still planning a Rally/Ride. Cycle -Moore sent this email. Here's what it says. Here's what I will do. I will try to take a drive or call up there when I return to get the specifics. I think maybe a breakfast would be good if they could do it? What do you all want to do? But lunch and dinner we may be on the road, so maybe we should just plan on a place during the ride? I will let you all hagle that out when I am gone. Then I will see how many we have going to have. It is August 6 7 8 at Cycle - Moore see you then.

SORRY TO BE LATE ANSWERING .... TRY TO COVER BOTH OF YOUR MESSAGES HERE .... WHAT A GREAT WAY TO GET TOGETHER AND MEET FACE TO FACE .... THE REBEL IS A COOL BIKE ....THERE ARE ALL KINDS OF EVENTS .... SOME FANCY .... SOME SIMPLE .... SOME CHARGE A COVER FEE AND DO THEIR OWN COOKING AND PAY ME FOR THE CAMPING .... OTHERS HAVE ME DO THE WHOLE THING WHICH OF COURSE IS MORE COSTLY AND INCLUDES FOOD .... ICE CREAM AND CAMPING .... GAMES IF YOU WANT THEM .... EITHER WAY THE COST FOR CAMPING IS $ 6.00 PER PERSON EXCEPT FOR CHILDREN UNDER 12 .... WITH THEIR FAMILY .... AT THIS POINT AUGUST 6 ..7..8.. SHOULD BE OKAY .... WE HAVE LOTS OF ROOM .... MORE NON ELECTRIC THAN ELECTRIC .... BEAUTIFUL SCENERY AND INTERESTING THINGS TO SEE .... WOULD LOVE TO HAVE YOU .... RIDE WELL .... LIVE LONG .... SHIRLEY

Today I actually got around to map questing! It's a good days ride for me, like around 12 hours on the road or so. But I was actually looking to ride up to that area last year, so this still has my intrest.

Early august works for me too, so that's not a problem either.

If they do the breakfast that's okay by me, but if others are on a dime it's not a problem to me either! I assume if there's some sites we're gonna see that we'll be dining on the trail. I personnal like to visit local favorite spots. I'll be going by Tony Packo's of M.A.S.H.'s corporal Klinger fame.

While I was researching the camp site I discovered that they cater to bikers specifically, that's kinda cool. I saw that they have a motorcycle repair shop also. I hope that I won't have to use it. Their gift shop has my curiosity.

That's my two cents, what do others think.

Interlochen is beautiful. I spent some time there at the National Music Camp.
Interlochen Arts Academy is world famous. There is a state park (Michigan's oldest IIRC) across the street from the Arts Academy/Music Camp. FlapJack Shack on Chums Corners (US 31 & Mi 37) was a favorite breakfast spot. Traverse City is close by and there are some very neat places there.

edit to add
From what I see the camp is a bit west of Interlochen Corners (US 31 & Mi 137).

Alright, I am as fully in as I can be (with the Grandma caveat always mind). I have a trailer so I can tow the bike and carry camping equipment comfortably and now I have put in for time off work August 5 - 9. My friend with the 1982 Nighthawk 650 really wants to come, too, but it will depend on work & wife.

We plan to bring a cooler full of food and a grill or camp stove. As for breakfast, if you all want to have Shirley do it for us, I'm fine with that, or else we can just grill some breakfast. I'm all, "whatever," like.
