Riding in Vermont can be a great experience especially if you like 2 lane mountain roads. A friend from Florida asked me if we followed a snake to build the roads. The truth is when we encountered a tree or a rock or lake we went around instead of buldozing through. Even our Interstates has rock cliffs in the medians. If that wasn't bad enough we have moose and deer who take offense at cars and bikes as well as a variety of skunks, turtles, racoons, and possums that wander the roads.
