Tucson Rebel, 90 miles, asking $3500

90 miles on odometer, asking $3500. I know nothing about this, but it's a red 2012 model.

2012 Honda Rebel low 90 miles only

I assume that the owner scared himself.

It's a few hundred over KBB retail for a 2012 model. The seller also failed to supply an actual picture of the bike and resorted to a Honda file photo.

That's two strikes without even considering it.

Well, the local 8-9% sales tax on top of the new price (if they won't come down on new ones) is also a factor, but, yes, you definitely want to see the bike before going further. After all you can "ask" anything but it is what it sells for that is of interest. Owner may not realize the instant 30% depreciation upon the OTD price.

I still don't understand why people buy bikes before taking the MSF basic course. Usually that will scare off the truly unfit riders.

I don't understand why CL sellers can't provide pics of what they're actually SELLING. All I see in that ad is an overpriced file photo from the manufacturer. I wouldn't even waste my time contacting the buffoon, for all we know he could have dumped the bike at 90 miles...in which case it's really overpriced. Seriously, anyone dishonest enough to provide a pic of something else is obviously hiding something.

Beware of KBB prices, they do not factor in mileage into their calculations. Pretty much a crap shoot as to true value.

In this area at least KBB valuation runs about 200 dollars below average Clist asking price. I figure that's pretty close to right as they base their estimates on registered price from DMV records.

I'm more concerned with sellers that fail to provide basic selling techniques. I factor in the mileage after determining if the bike is actually worth looking at. Like I said, there's nothing attractive about this ad...he could claim the bike is still in the dealer shipping crate but a manufacturer's file photo proves nothing.
