450 Parts
I am parting out an '86 450. I will be keeping the fenders and tank but most of the rest is available. The bike has 50,000 miles and I was told that the engine has an electrical problem and will not start. I may play with it if I get a chance. I am in Hawaii so small parts will ship USPS Flat Rate but larger ones I will have to get a shipping quote.

Twocool,
If you can fax the microfiche to 1-775-373-3756 I will pull the parts, clean them up, check shipping costs and get back to you with a price but I guarantee that they will be reasonable.

OK here's two microfische......sorry they came out sorta small.
In the first one I am looking for the parts in group 9
This is the right side step, complete assembly
In the second fische I am looking for the following part ref #'s
12,13,19,17,27,6,11,37,29,31,38,31
This is the brake pedal with two control horns, and the connecting rod, along with the associated mounting hardware.
If the diagrams are too ha 2223_STEP.jpg
2223_PEDAL.jpgrd to read let me know and I will go on to plan B
Thanks Cookie

I realize it's been a while since you've posted this thread, but I was curious if you had the driver's foot pegs still up for grabs?
If so, how much you want for them? I have a 1987 450 that needs front pegs.
Thanks!

Sorry but the remaining parts have been sold as a basket case to a guy who wants to build it into a Bobber for his wife. I am considering putting floorboards on my 450 though & if I do I will let you know and send you my front pegs.
PS: Pros & cons re:boards on a Rebel??

I actually bought my rebel with boards on it, and I hated it. Granted, the boards were too large for the bike, so that was prob part of the issue. That's why I need new front pegs.
Edit: The reason I didn't like the boards being so big, is that it was difficult for me to shift up. But, I'm a new rider, so I can't say if it was because the boards were too large, or I am too experienced. But they really were monster sized things.

The shift lever can be adjusted. It's not hard to do, but the down side is re-adjusting if it isn't comforatable for you. But once you have it dialed in, riding is much more enjoyable.
