Honda Rebel Forum Adoption
Hey everyone,
As some members already noticed, this community was acquired/adopted by my company called Social Knowledge. I started my first forum in 2002 and slowly over the years adopted various other communities. Recently a colleague informed me that Big_J was going to sell this community and I jumped at the opportunity to make this part of Social Knowledge. I used to own a 1987 Honda Rebel 250 but currently I am without a bike. It was stock but I added some saddle bags and it was my commuter when I was at school in University of Arizona. My GPA went up because I was able to park closer to my classes which means I actually went to my classes!
Nothing much is going to change around here other then some house cleaning and some other little tweaks we have found to help forums be more vibrant. The same mods/admins are managing the community and it's our job to support them and make sure they have the tools they need to make HRF the best community it can be.
You will notice a couple other Admin accounts. Janet H works with me and she's the liaison that works with the mod/admin team and Tech Admin (Jeff) is our programmer.
I look forward to getting to know you all and if you have any questions please ask.
Andy

Welcome, Andy. I've already noticed some improvements in the functionality. When should we expect our bonuses?

Welcome aboard, Andy.
I only have one Q --- what's up with that ad on the front page from the "brand that shall not be mentioned"?

Thanks for the welcome. Fridg, we'll definitely have to go for a ride once I get a Rebel. I miss my old bike. It was so easy to ride and so inexpensive to operate. Great bikes.
The ads are served from via Google's ad network and we don't have much control over what's showing. Technically we can block some ads but it ends up being a cat and mouse game and a full time PITA to deal with that. Hopefully those ads will go away soon enough!
