Need help with 1986 Honda Rebel 250 carb

How do I remove the 1986 Honda Rebel 250 Carb. It is not same as the new rebel. The rear side is same. I was not able to remove it from the front side. Do I need to take those bolts from the engine to take the carb out.

The easieast way I found to do it is to remove the tube from the carb to the airbox. Then after you have disconnected the throttle cables, choke cable, & fuel lines, loosen the clamp holding the carb to the intake manifold (it's basically a hose clamp). Standing (or squating in this case) on the left side of the bike, wiggle the carb backward until it is free of the manifold boot. Then turn the front of the carb towards the right side of the bike and you should be able to take it out of the left side with the back of the carb facing you. I went through a lot of jetting tests, so i've gotten pretty good at this. Although, I have removed my airbox. So you may have to remove the tubes for the crankcase breather as well. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Go to http://www.bikebandit.com/houseofmot...-1986/o/m10724 Then click on the carb view. This should bring up an exploded view of your carb and you can see where that part goes.
