Do you have a service manual? The procedure should be in there.

Here are some downloadable versions: http://torrentpump.com/torrents/hond...manual-torrent, http://pdfdatabase.com/index.php?q=f...0+rebel+manual

I am a member of the Aero 750 member and ride one. My father in law bought a 1999 Rebel after I bought the Aero. Actually he bought the Rebel from another Aero forum member. Anyway it needs some work so I joined this forum to find out more about it. It seems like a really good forum. I was telling my father in law he should change the rear sprocket to a to 30 tooth sprocket. So I will be watching this thread. I think I remember some pics of you riding your wife's Rebel home after you guys bought it. Isn't it black and pink? Anyway I just thought I would say hey. Take care.

We are sticking with the stock sprockets , I just bought another chain and sprocket set on ebay from sledspartsguy for $84 shipped . Also just bought a regulator for a 07 bike for $34 shipped since we are upgrading to a h4 headlight I bought on ebay for $35 shipped , figured she loves the bike (Black with pink flames ) and has put a little over 28,500 miles since she bought it a year ago march with 495 miles on it . I love the shaft drive , I guess chains and sprockets wear out fairly quick , altho she has gotten almost 19,000 miles on this set which we replaced in aug 08 . Well , her bike is down till the chain and sprockets come in , the sun is shinnin and its a balmy 41.8 and the bike is callin so will catch you later , you in NY ?

Wow that is a lot of miles. I think the last report on you Aero was around 118,000 miles. I wish I could ride that much. But with 2 younger kids I don't get on the bike nearly as much as I would like. No I am in central Indiana. It is about 46 and sunny now. I would love to get on the bike but I will be getting my 4 year old daughter in about 20 minutes. Have a nice ride.

change chain and sprockets

Hi, Im also changing chain and sprockets, along with the instructions in the Rebel manual, I found this video very helpfull and illustrative

By the way, I still dont have an adjustable torque wrench, does anybody know if its a big deal if I tight the nuts without adjustment for now, and then readjust to the specified torque at a later time?? I hope I dont damage the material structure.

It is if you strip or warp something because it was over tightened. Or if it vibrates loose because it wasn't tightened sufficiently. Can you borrow one?
