I also have a small dual sport, a Yamaha XT225. It's great for local smooth trails, and dirt roads. But it is no substitute for a real dirt bike (I have a Honda XR400 for the rough stuff), and it is definitely not comfortable enough for a long highway trip. On the other hand, a large dual sport like a KLR650 is decent for long trips, but completely worthless as a dirtbike. Dirt and street are two totally different things, and I have yet to find a bike that is really good at both. All I know is I don't want any more sportbikes. Those things will kill you even if you don't crash. Jerry.

No they don't drag when you lean into a turn if that's what you mean. But it was a little hard to get used to after it drops your foot down, it always felt like it was going to scrape in a hard lean. So far the only thing that I've managed to scrape was the brake pedal arm while leaning into a tight turn with the pedal depressed.

After you install them the brake pedal and shifter arm will need to be repositioned, so it's not a quick bolt them on and start riding procedure. But it's worth it in my opinion.

Since my last post, I have fabricated parts that relocate the pegs and shifter 4" forward of their stock location. Still working on the brake, but I have a design, and some parts ordered. Meanwhile, I have been riding it around without the rear brake. Moving the pegs 4" forward solved all the Rebels comfort problems for me. I feel like I could ride cross country on it now, which I just may do, if I can get the time. Jerry.
