He has green connected to brown. Honda changes the color from black coming off the fuse to brown at a couple of places on the print. Why they do that I don't know! Of course from fuse to ground, it's gonna blow. But he's also calling out a brown white color and has me doubting the wiring. My prints don't show a brown white at all!

Thanks. I missed that part. This may also be pertinent:

"I'm sorry. Mine is a 1999 and the wiring harness came off of a 2005"

The only thing I see different between the prints is the wattage listed for the lights. Of course Honda changed the voltage regulator too. But the wire colors are the same.

Wiring diagram shows Green and Black/White coming from Ignition switch but for whatever reason mine is Brown and Brown/White stripe. Diagram shows Green to Green which we are assuming is Brown and Black/White to Black/White which we are assuming is Brown/White??

Could switch be bad?

I'm getting so frustrated with this bike. Is there a world record for Rebel Tossing?

Almost sounds like it's time to find a whole new wiring harness and switches...

OK, have it working somewhat. I can turn switch on hit start button and she fires up. Turn switch all way right and fuse blows. When running, turn switch off and headlight goes off but bike keeps running. Much better than before

mine does that. It's bad contacts inside the switch. Until I get around to fixing it I just use the kill switch, but otherwise it hasn't caused any problems. But with yours blowing fuses in the park position, I'd say time for a new switch unless you can take it apart and clean the contacts. It's tricky but can be done. Easier to just get a new switch.

Hang in there. You're making progress in an intimidating procedure.
