Check your linkage rod. the lock nuts may have come loose and it spun around too loose. A good way to tell is back away from the bike until you can see both the bottom of the shift arm and the arm that goes through the case. If these two aren't parallel then adjust the linkage rod until they are, tighten the lock nuts.
