ok, so my taillight is out... my break light works and i replaced the bulb so i know its good. what should i check next? also what is supposed to be where the yellow wires go to? it looked like the flasher but i replaced to other black box with a flasher and it now my turn signals work ... nothing seems to happen if i disconnected it so im wondering what its supposed to be, is it even original or did some one just stick it in there?...

That's definitly not stock. If I could see the colors of the wires behind the connectors I would have a better idea what the PO ws trying to do. Also need a wiring diafram for a contemporary 250 if any one has one. I'm working off an 85-87 sheet.

If the liscence plate light is working, then it's the bulb.

The next thing I would check would be the plug connections under the fender.

After that I would look at the wiring. #1 make sure the green wiring is going to the frame. #2 check for broken wires going to the fuse.
