Okay, I covered those bases. Seat is clean, cable isn't kinked anywhere. Only thing I'd be worried about is the plunger itself, the bottom of it looks like it may be worn a bit.

Bad news though, when I took the carb back off to clean it some more (I'm willing to bet money that the carb is my problem) the little plastic nut that holds the choke cable in place broke in half. The honda "stealership" wants just shy of $50 for that nut, the rubber boot, and probably the choke plunger and spring. It was some "kit" that they sell. I also priced gaskets for the carb, they also only offered a kit, so with the choke cable parts and carb gaskets the total came out to be like $80! Good lord! I figured parts for a motorcycle would be cheaper than parts for my truck! I guess since they know your paying less on insurance and gas, they figure they can get away with charging high prices on parts!

(This is my first bike, since it's so small I'm sure you guys with bigger bikes think I've got nothing to complain about. I've also heard that harley parts are ridiculous. Part of that is the name though...)

If anyone can direct me to keihin's website, where they have info about their carbs that would be great. Looking for every possible spec I can get on the carb. From factory presets to float levels and which passages go where. Just trying to get some more info on the subject. Thanks. By the way, I've been googling like crazy and can't find jack. Keihin's website (or the one I found anyway) has proven to be useless. For reference, the number on my carb is: VE08DlAlYG and some wierd digit that looks like a seven or nine.

Thought I had it bookmarked, but can't find it. Google Jacks Rebel Warehouse and get the phone number. Then call, 'cause they have so many parts very few are listed on the web site.

I gave him a call today at lunch, very helpful over the phone, knew exactly what I was talking about when I was trying to explain the "little plastic nut thingy that hold the choke cable into the carb"

It didn't sound like he could order those and referenced me to honda. (I believe it's called a valve starter kit or something, comes with the nut, choke plunger and spring, and the rubber boot) But I'll be ordering the carb kit from Jack's warehouse. They have a bit cheaper of a price and are much more helpful and friendly. I won't go to the dealership unless I have no other choice.
