Clymer Repair Manual for 2004

I've been searching for a Clymer repair manual for my 2004 Rebel and the closest I can find covers only 1978 to 2003.
Question #1: Will this work for my '04 or, is there a newer edition?
Question #2: Is there a different manual that you like better than the Clymer that you would recommend?
Thanks.

The '01 to '09 Rebels are exactly the same. Except for paint scheme.

I also have a Honda repair manual just for a Reb. I can't say that one is better than the other becouse it seems like, what one lacks the other covers.

I bought a Clymer's a little over a year ago. It's # M324-5, Twinstar, Rebel250 & Nighthawk 250 1978-2003. The differences are pretty minor, and nothing that will cause harm. I've used it for everything I've done so far, and it is good, but I also plan to get the genuine Honda service manual. The parts desk guy at the dealer said that it may be a bit too technical for a newbie, but I do mechanical stuff all day, so I'm not too concerned. My only disappointments with the Clymers have been with the quality of some of the photos, and some of the writing.

i have the genuine honda service manual and the clymer you are talking about. honestly, i think the honda service manual is better, but they are both good and they will both work for ya. my bike is an 09 model and i can use the clymer no problem. but like i said, i think the honda manual is better. just my 2 cents.

I have both, because I found some inaccuracies in the Clymer. Got a brand new Honda manual for $20 from the internet.

Some of the photos in the Honda manual are kinda bad too. X_x

That's one of the reasons I like the idea of having two reference sources. Different photos for more visual input; different text for the other side of the brain. I don't always follow what someone is trying to communicate. I'm going to get the factory manual before performing the next major surgery.

I do not have either. I did have a genuine Honda manual for the Rebel when I bought my new '85 Rebel back in '85. I dropped it off at Goodwill a long time ago. I was able to find the Clymer manual you are referring to at my local library, read through it, and wrote down all the pertinent service information. The '03 is the same as the '04.

I have always preferred Clymer and Haynes manuals for the do it yourselfer, and for all older vehicles with out electronics. If you are unfortunate enough to have a newer car/truck with electronics, especially one made in '96 or later, you will need the factory manual, some training, the right software, and some very sophisticated and expensive test equipment to track down electronic problems. These manuals are better for professional mechanics. For the nice simple Rebel, I think the Clymer is perfect. Jerry.

Well, once again you all have come thru with the answers. I really appreciate the info and the opinions. I think I'll start with the Clymers manual since it still applies to my '04 and then maybe pick up a Honda manual later. Thanks again, guys!

You might also want to look at this:

If you don't mind having your manual online, check out CyclePedia.com. It's something like $25 for a year of access or $40 for lifetime access, with full-color illustrations and excellent step-by-step instructions. Of all of the post-purchase money I have spent on my Rebel, that is probably the best value I have gotten.
