No such thing. If it was a Yamaha, manuals would be all over the place. Honda guards their manuals like gold. Honda is greedy. If they sold their manual for a reasonable price I would buy one. I suggest looking on eBay for a used one, or one of those pirate copies on CD. You can also go to your local library and probably find a Clymer or Haynes manual that covers a '97 Rebel, but they also cover a few other similar models as well. If all you need are service specs, like valve clearances, and maintenance information, like how to change the oil or the air filter, that stuff is available here. Just ask. Jerry.
EDIT: Sorry, misread your post. But the same thing applies to owners manuals. I know I've seen them on eBay. But they are pretty much worthless, they are nothing but warnings, cautions, and "please have your Honda dealer check the motorcycle" over and over and over again. They also recommend a lot of unnecessary service and "checks", which of course they recommend having your dealer do. A service manual actually contains some useful information.
