As long as the oil is changed and regular maintenence is done, other than replacing tires and chains, I have over 26,000 without a hitch (and still counting).

South.

100,000 miles would wear out the Rebel, so you are unlimited on travel.

Figure 600 miles a day at 70 MPH and one day a week to rest up.

Bugging out is more than just about miles, you need finances along the way. Visa's/pass ports/bribes.

The easiest for you would be to go north to Canada.. Way too cold for me, but it is your best option. 600 Miles a day is less than 10 hours in the saddle. Depends on your motivation.

I'm about 350 miles from Mexico, and around 1200 to Canadia. If I had the time and money, I'd go for a ride to Canadia. I could be there in a few days without pushing it, and There's plenty of nice riding along the way. Of course I'd want to get back before fall. If I had to go permanently, I'd head South.

I just got my 250 rebel in late Sept. Got my mc licence last week....put over 300 miles on it so far...it runs great. I am thinking about riding it up to americaid this year, I have lots of friends with Harley...I want to ride my rebel to as many places as it will take me. I'm so excited for this spring. I can't seem to find any people on this sight that live near me. Anyway, Il check back.

The bike would have no problem. Distance is always determined by the riders endurance.
I did Americade back in 96' and had a blast.

Don't mean to hijack this thread , but I'm planning on driving my bike from Toronto to Saskatoon this spring which is about 3 thousand kms. Bike only has 8 thousand kms on her and all maintenance up to date.
Anyone have tips on what would be a good speed to cruise all day ?and for how long without stressing the engine.will probably stop at 2 motels at night.
Three days drive in total
