Just got back from a totally awesome ride and ride in show.
The Ephrata First Sunday (
http://ephratamotorcycle.com/) ride is just that. This was my first time attending this event and for this area I thought it was pretty cool. There were over 4000 bikes there ranging from Asprila to Zepher. Mine and one other (that happened to have one of those Chinese knockoff fuel tanks) were the only Rebels there and the Pygmy Pony got plenty of looks and sparked some interesting conversation. Of course there were lots of harleys, big cruisers and sport bikes. Even saw a couple of Urals with sidecars and a mint Norton.
Picture is only one small area of where the bikes are parked and from my cruddy phone camera (gotta get a better camera for taking on the road...)

Of course there had to be an accident, don't know any details, but it was in a spot that I could see was going to be trouble.

As we were riding out of town, local police blocked that part of the route off and detoured everyone around. Still could see a large number of emergency vehicles. And, with 4000 bikes and cagers confined in a 4 sq mile area something was bound to give.
Another observation was that there seemed to be very few patches. Everyone was very freindly and courteous. Folks from all creeds and cultures were represented. If you are ever in the area during the summer and it is a first sunday you should plan to spend an extra couple hours there. It was great. Plus I was blessed with some fantastic riding weather, 7:30 in the morning, very few others out at that time and open road. YeeHaw!
Side note: Every had one of those days when the bike developes a rattle/buzz that starts grating your nerves?

Tried to ignore it but after a while it was getting to me, especially since I couldn't seem to locate it. Every time I'd lean forward and run my hands around where I thought it was coming from, it quit. Care to guess what it was? (you got a hint)
