ROT Rally

Is anyone here going to the ROT Tally in Austin, the dates for this year are June 11 to 14th.
Some of the Music line up is Hank Jr. Kentucky Head Hunters, Robert Earl Keen and more.
Well, I am planning on going so, if anyone else on this forum is going let me know and we can try to meet up or something of the sort.

Have Fun and Ride Safe

That sure sounds like fun. Is there camping available near the site?

I have never been to it but my understanding is that there are several state parks and other types of campgrounds in the area and from pictures I've seen there is camping. Here is the website, it has links for hotels, RVs and Camping.

ROT Camping and Show

According to what I read on the website, onsite tent camping is free, if you have a car/truck and/or trailer less than 14 ft its $20.00 for the car/truck parking with/without trailer. If the trailer is over 14 ft there are other things to look at, there is onsite RV camping but it cost. The other thing I read is that if you are a registered visitor or whatever you want to call it its free to enter your bike in the show and they do give prizes for the winners. Those are all of the details I have figured out so far.
If anyone on here has ever been to the ROT Rally and knows more about this please let me know, I am trying to have a total of three bikes there, two Rebels and a Vento Colt, all customized in one way or another or maybe even more than one way hehe.
Preregistration ends on May 15th, $55.00 preregistration and $60.00 at the gate from what I gathered from the website.

Well, I hope to see meet some of you at the ROT Rally

Not Going

Well, Murphy has popped up again, the Advanced Safety Rider corse that is only given like once a year is on the same weekend, there is also a local event called Blues On the Hill that I go to every year and its the same weekend so, we had to make a choice and we are not going to go to ROT this year, I need to take the ARSF and I don't want to wait another year so, I will wait another year to go to ROT.
Any of you that wish, there is the Bike Fest (Roar by the Shore) on South Padre Island in October, I will post more about it closer to time, I will definitely be going to this one, its local for me.

Well, enjoy and ride safe

The ROT Rally sounds like fun and its not very far from me.

I'll have to check out the website more after work tonight. I think it'd be fun

I went to ROT last year, it was alot of fun. It's wall to wall people and bikes so it makes cruising around difficult, you basically have to turn your bike off and walk it around. (Unless you get up early to ride which is when most people are going to sleep) It was hot, hot, hot. I'm glad I went, but I'll never do it again LOL!

Just got word that a local buddy is also planning to go. We're still talking about whether to ride or take his cage. There will be at least three of us, and lots of camping gear.

Get ready cuz it will be packed. One of Texas's biggest shows. Been twice. Had a blast. Not sure I'm gonna make it this year.
