I just planned June 5-12 trip. We rented a nice house in Clyde NC. This is my first trip out of Michigan! I My husband and I would love to meet up with riders in the area! Or anyone wanting to make a trip the same time would be awesome. Maybe plan a little rallie that week. We thought about doing the dragon on Wed. that week and not the weekend! Any words of advise about the area?

Most folks who ride the dragon turn around and ride it again, and again, and again...

Haven't been there yet, but I want to go. Think you're wise to avoid the weekend. Should also be very pretty in spring time and have less traffic. That's when the wild flowers are at their peak. April and May should be ideal.
