Cool Bikers For Babies, Kansas City

This ride is a HUGE deal around here. Its the 15th Annual Bikers For Babies Ride to support The March Of Dimes. I have included a few links, one to my personal page, and the other has complete info on what its all about. My first year on this ride was 2007, and it was an absolutely kick ass day. We broke the record for money raised in 1 day, and attendance... there were over 8,500 bikes at this event that raised more than $730,000.

Donate if ya can.. none of the money goes to me.. unless you give me cash, but even then it goes to March of Dimes. (not a crook).. lol

Good deeds and having fun at the same time. Doesn't get any better than that.

Absolutely Linard, as long as you believe in what your riding for, And you get to have a good time doing it. Why it's so important for me to go on this ride I haven't found out yet, but I know where the money goes and what it's for.

I am also riding on October 4th to support a coworker (at another one of our stores) (Firestone) whose wife just passed away from complications from surgery. Left him with 4 kids, the youngest being 18 months.

Thumbs up What A Day!!

WHEW.. what a great ride!! It's raining like crazy today, but yesterday was off and on clouds, but it started at 67 degrees at my house and by the end of the day it was 75-80. Perfect day for riding.

Got to spend the day around 6000+ bikers, and collectively raised over $660,000 for The March of Dimes. Dee Snider from Twisted Sister, and House of Hair (also the national spokesman for M.O.D. Bikers for Babies) was there for the event. The band that was playing even got the honor of playing a few songs with Dee as he sang I Wanna Rock, We're Not Gonna Take It, and the ever classic biker anthem, Born To Be Wild... IT FRIGGEN ROCKED!!!

The Rebel didn't miss a beat either. The ride was a good chunk of highway, 60-65, some times even 70-75. From my house, to Kansas Speedway, out for about 115 miles and back to the Speedway, and back to my house was a total of 161 miles.

Oh, and my headlight came in from Jacks... I highly advise it if you do not have one, it's the real deal, solid and heavy, and bright!!

Absolutely, even saw a few rebels on the ride as well. Tons of shadow 600's and 750's... and there might have been a harley or 2... most maybe.

Besides just getting out to ride, I'm just curious as to what everyone else rides for, supports etc?
